OMFG Freckles!

So yesterday I went over to my cousin's house to go swimming, we had an awesome time. Amazing how we always seem to forget we're adults when we get together. Apart from our vocabulary reverting to that of an eleven year old, and being waaaaaay too entertained by the most idiotic things, and exhausting lines from the movie Nemo, we have a lot of inside jokes from when we actually were elven that are still hilarious to us.

We were just acting really stupid. When we're not having a serious conversation it's like we become two completely different people. So yeah, swimming... for two hours straight... with no sunscreen... Why do you never feel yourself getting burned? I didn't think it was even this bad until I saw it and it started hurting like a mother frakker.

Speaking of seeing it... Oh my gods the freckles! D: I hate my freckles. This is why I hide from the sun. It was like a break out/infestation of gorram freckles. Cheeks, nose, forehead (nose and forehead, really freckles? Really? -__-), and all along my shoulders/upper arms. I can't say much for my back because I can't see it, and my chest is pretty much freckle free, but my face.... -_____-

It's so painful. clothes hurt. And my backpack doesn't help that at all. And it's painful to sleep because I can't turn or anything or I'll rub by burn (which feels like someone's rubbing my skin with a cheese grater). I don't remember ever being this burnt except for once before when I was maybe nine or ten. So painful! Okay, I'm done complaining now.

Like a Boss

So I'm sitting in Paradigm, a local coffee spot, sort of new age-y and just an awesome place to hang out. For my final essay I have to write about an experience. Not one that I've already had since that's basically a narrative and we've already done those, but we go have an experience and write about it. My experience? Gender bending. For those of you who may not know, gender bending is where you dress, act, and portray yourself as the opposite sex.

I do this on a fairly regular basis actually, but not to the extreme I am now. I bind my chest, wear mens clothes, but answer to Emily, use female terms (her, she, etc.) and use the women's rest room. But now, EVERYTHING is male. Only answering to Devin, using male terms, and the mens bathroom. And I'm pretty damn successful, I've seen four people I know so far that haven't even recognized me. I feel accomplished.

I have recently come to describe myself as an gender androgynous female. Tomboy doesn't cut it for me. I like being male, I like being female... sometimes. And I'm not transgender. So first blog from Devin. *grins* I might make this a regular thing too. So fair warning to readers.

This is not a paragraph. I am not on my ADHD meds. I need to get home to feed the cats. Three sentences is a paragraph, technically..... TEA!

That is all.

How roleplaying can help you write an essay

Okay, so I'm going to try and sound coherent but I don't know how well that'll work since it's a Friday and I didn't take my meds... and I'm going to be writing three blogs back to back, but I'll do my best.

So my English professor had commented on this way at the beginning of the class after he assigned the first essay, a personal narrative. I was complimented on my excellent use of descriptive words. When asked about our writing process, I had said that the essay was pretty easy for me to write because I love to write and I roleplay.

I explained that when you roleplay online, you're typing out everything your character does, everything they're wearing, their appearance (hair color, eye color, etc.), and also what they're seeing, thinking, and saying. It's an excellent way to keep your mind productive during the summer when you don't have school. It's certainly helped me with my grammar and spelling, and I believe I've become a better writer because of it as well. Roleplaying almost forces you to be as creative as possible to give anyone else you're RPing with the best response, essentially writing a story. The more descriptive you are, the better the RP experience.

Basically what I had done was treat my paper like a really long RP post. I described all the "characters", the setting, gave some background, and described thoughts and interpretations. Not only did it make it an interesting paper to read, again, almost like a story, it got an A. And my professor said that I should get together with an English professor who roleplays and we could write an article on how using roleplay can help write an essay.

So until I find an English professor who RP's, this blog post will have to do.

Late for a very important date

Heyo, (gotta let go) No. I hate that song. Anywho. I didn't post anything last week like I should've. I was busy with essays and speeches and what not, I just didn't have the time. Now I do. And I will be random.

I wonder if they call Italian bread, us bread in Italy... "What bread would you like your sammich on sir?" "Us bread." That would be weird... Same goes for Canadian bacon. Us bacon? Or just regular bacon and they call our regular bacon American bacon... Mmmm, bacon. My sandwich was turkey on Italian bread, wish it was bacon instead. Bacon is delicious.

The best, most godly bacon ever, is at Miesfeld's. *drool*

I'm not drinking Mountain Dew, got some crystal lite stuff in water. Blue UV and Mountain Dew is frakking delicious. I need a Twitter. I ate my sammich too early and I'm still hungry. I'll go get chips after this. Google translate is entertaining. It talks to you. I make it sing songs in different languages.

I think that's it for this post. Pretty much useless jargon. *le sigh* If you made it this far you get a cookie. Go buy one lol Thanks for reading.

Also, my girlfriend is amazing <3
And I have to harvest my crops. Stupid Farmville.

Off the Pill- Look at my cat, my cat is amazing...

He thinks he's a dog and he likes to take showers...

Seriously, I think my cat's going through an identity crisis. For like a month or so now, he's been very adamant about going outside every day, just to walk around the house and roll in the dirt, stuff like that. Then he started growling, yes, growling, like a dog. And just recently, he's started to actually go outside. Like he's a housebroken dog. And the other day, he was outside, a pit bull walks by and my cat tries to charge it. O___O I caught him, but still. This ten pound fluffy kitty tried to intimidate a sixty pound pit bull. Kitty, you're NOT A DOG!

And what's with your fascination with the shower all of a sudden? You're jumping INTO the shower and getting wet. You sat under the water and got soaked the last time. And you're jumping into the fridge. What? Why? Are you reliving your second kittenhood? Is this your bucket list? You're nineteen but you're gonna live forever, you don't need a bucket list.

Also, I disowned my mom for a day yesterday. She failed in the knowledge of Harry Potter. Here's how it went down. We're in the car coming home from her doctor's appointment, she mentions my wand and asks which character it's supposed to belong to, I had gotten it at the Renaissance Faire a few years ago so it was just my wand. Then I said it had a triple core.
"What's a core?"
"How are you my mother?"
She laughs, I'm serious for like 2 minutes before I start laughing too. Then I explain the wand cores, phoenix feather, unicorn hair, and dragon heart string. And a little later she notices the Dark Mark I drew on my right arm.
"How'd you get that thingy on your arm?"
"I drew- THINGY?!?!"
"I don't know what it's called..."
*facepalm* "The Dark Mark..."
But that's not all. We go to the theater to see Harry Potter, 3D is so worth the extra money by the way. And we're playing hangman on her phone while we wait for the movie to start. She didn't know what Death Eaters were, or that Buckbeak was the name of the Hippogryph in the third movie... She's redeemed herself from that movie by remembering that the "black floaty things" are called Dementors. And now, we're watching the movie and she asks.
"Where's that big guy?"
"...."
"The gianty dude..."
-________-".....Hagrid?"
"Yeah him."
I am disappointed.

And later, after the movie she's like.
"I'm glad I didn't ask you where they were when they were at Hogwarts. You probably would've yelled at me."
"I would've stood up and told you to 'GTFO, you don't belong here'."
She laughs because she knows I was serious.
Did I mention that she's only read the first book? She's gone to see all the movies, but hasn't read the books... That made me cry. And and and and I had to spend a good hour or so after the movie to explain some things. Die Bücher gelesen MUTTER!

Can't be productive...

Because I'm worried!

Sooooooooooo, I can't be productive when I'm worried. Why am I worried? I haven't heard from my girlfriend in close to four hours. No texts. She's not online. And I can't reach her by phone. I have no car, and even if I did, she's in Illinois.... Frak you MSN, making me think she signed in when it was someone else. -___- So yeah, I can't concentrate enough to work on anything that needs my focus. I'm reduced to the most mind numbing pogo games because I need to do something besides constantly check my phone and lose my mind from worry.

It better not be my phone being fraktarded again. -__- Like last Wednesday where it was useless for a day, not sending my texts but not giving a failed message warning. And not receiving texts. And not connecting to the internet. And not sending or receiving calls. But still, even then she'd be online right? Gahhh!

I try not to freak out... Like maybe her battery's dead and she's away from home... But it's 11:48pm and and and it's been four hours, and she usually shoots a warning like "phone batts almost dead" so I then at least know that when she's away from home and suddenly stops texting that her phone is dead. But I don't know that now, I had no warning. I am worried and unproductive and just -_______- Pretty much useless when all I can think is "What the frak happened to her? Is she okay? Am I being my normal over paranoid self?" and so on and so forth. I don't know if I'll even get sleep if I don't know if she's alright.

I love you Jillyn <3 UPDATE: She's fine, her phone had died and she was out longer than she predicted. Thank Gods. Also, this update would've happened sooner but technology hated me today. >__>

Grandma Tommy's Cherry Pie

So first, I know this is late, I forgot >__> I blame my ADHD. (insert Jilli saying "excuses" :D) Okay, so on Saturday my family and I went up to Sturgeon Bay to visit the grave sites of my great grandma Rose (whom I'm named after, my middle name is Rose), my grandma Sandy (my mom's mom)

And her parents and great grandparents. I can't remember their names at this time, and I never got to meet any of them when they were living, sadly. But I have a "sensitivity" to the spirit's of the deceased, my third eye was opened when I started practicing Paganism, and though I didn't see them I felt their presence and felt happy to finally have met them. They were from my mother's side I should add.

Okay, enough of the sadness. When we were done at the cemetery it was around 1-ish and my uncle suggested we eat at the Ship Wreak restaurant near Egg Harbor -he had prior engagements with my aunt's parents who were celebrating their birthday. So we traveled down... or up... I'm not quite sure if Egg Harbor was north or south of Sturgeon Bay... To the restaurant. But on the way there, my dad saw a sign for Casey's BBQ and Smokehouse(my parents had eaten there before) and my mom was like "WE NEED TO GO THERE AGAIN!" Luckily Ship Wreak was really busy and Casey's was not.

They have the best BBQ, if you love BBQ, frakking go there, you'll thank me.
We cleaned our plates, it was so good! Just, ugh, you'll love it, I'm salivating thinking about it haha. *drooool*

Yeah, the bronze pig infront of Casey's, I sat on it. :D

So we're all pretty much stuffed to the point of bursting, but we all agreed that we needed pie. We're all on the look out for someplace with pie. We stop at a few stores, I got this awesome necklace with a fop watch on it that actually works and looks Wonderland-ish :D But I'm sad I forgot to put it on today, frak, I made a mental note to myself and everything. I even saw it today >__> Anywho, so after that we're driving along and we see a sign for Grandma Tommy's (sort of like a general store) and our curiosity got the best of us going "Why is Grandma named Tommy?" "Does she have pie?" "Okay, we're gonna see if they have pie there." SUCCESS! There is indeed pie sold there, and ice cream, but we just wanted pie. We got single slices of cherry pie in little travel containers and ate it in the car. And my dad and I being the dirty minded people we are, were snickering and making cherry pie jokes.

That's about it. Thank you for your attention. So long, be safe, eat bagels.

Also, I love you Jilli <3

Rediscovering hidden treasures

So this past week was dedicated to yard work and cleaning the garage. Last Saturday was when my parents and I rediscovered the clothes that had been shoved into the back of the garage for a sale many many years ago. Among them was my father's old Military dress coat. Of course it didn't fit him anymore, but it fit me and I've always been into Military clothes. So two pluses were that I got an Army coat, and it has sentimental value because it was my father's. Another item I saved was my grandma's leather jacket, it's pretty stiff from years of being neglected in the garage but with a bit of oiling it'll be just fine. Second score of sentimental jacketness.

I also found bags of toys that I got excited about, remembering when I played with them. I was the giddiest when I found my old Batman Batcave play set. It was like a Barbie house but cool. And before you say it, Barbie houses were not cool. Batman's Batcave had two levels with a sweet set up of computers with radar and crime trackers, an armory, a jail, a secret entrance to Wayne Manor and to the outside with the Batmobile. Barbie's got a kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom. She's got nothing on Batman. Did I mention the elevator and fireman pole? Yeah, Batcave had that too. Victory is mine.

I also got to pass on a few treasures. My old western saddle and bridal I had purchased when I was still taking lessons and leasing a horse. A friend of ours owns a farm with her family and has horses. And since I hadn't used them in about a decade I sold them to her. I'd rather know they're going to someone who's going to get use out of them than just sitting around the house collecting dust. So I'm happy.

Cleaning's a pain in the frakking rear but you never know what hidden treasures you might find, or what good homes you can give to passed loved things. But it's probably a good idea not to wait close to two decades to clean out your garage. Your past treasures just might end up current trash. Also, Batman wins. That is all.

Off The Pill

As I mentioned in my first post, I have ADHD, I take medication for it but it's not required everyday. So on days I don't go to school I don't take my meds, I figure I'll do an off the pill post every Friday (Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday!) or Saturday (the next day). For the record, things in parenthesis are my inner monologue. But what do I write!? D: I don't know! Oh no! (I knooooow! Hehe, Family Guy). Oh I know, Mountain Dew does not mix well with ADHD meds, I get way to frakking hyper, more than I normally do without meds. So... Mountain Dew is forbidden on school days. Which sucks because I love it and feel deprived and go through withdrawals (hehe sounds like narwhals *plays Narwhals song*) and I think like "OMFG I need my Dewwwwww!" Like this:

Well, except for the speaking in Japanese, but the symptoms are pretty much the same.

Along with hyperness and lack of a wide range of concentration, I also get little obsessions with things that can actually hold my interest, Friday and today it was the Literal Assassin's Creed Revelations Trailer by Tobuscus. I've watched it obsessively probably close to thirty-five times and pretty close to being able to sing the whole thing without the video as assistance (as I can do with the Literal Assassin's Creed Brotherhood video, I know that one so well it's scary). And talk about a lack of concentration, it took thirty minutes to write this paragraph because the TV distracted me. Oh look Svengoolie's showing The Invisible Man, sweet.

My crops are ready, woot. Thank god for email notifications on my phone, gah, I freaked out a little earlier today because I was out when my crops were ready and I was worried that they would wither. And I would never have cared about stupid farmville if my girlfriend hadn't made me get a farm to send her things, then she made it look all pretty and planted crops and then I was all "Well I can't let them die." (sure, I care about virtual plants but can't take care of real ones) and then I just submitted to the power of farmville, all glory to the hypno toad.

Farmville isn't the only thing she's won with, Neopets too and, (oh it pains me to say this) she's gotten me to tolerate Twilight -_- Go Team Jacob. (he's a gorram shifter, not a werewolf *huffs*) He's lucky he's a Native and a wolf or I wouldn't like him, just bleeeeeeeeh, I'll have another post for just Twilight too I bet. Maybe more. That pretty much ends my off the pill post.... Yup, I'm done.

Are you mad?!

To put it simply, yes, yes I am. My page title pretty much sums up everyday in my life, there's always at least one WTF moment, either for me or for those around me, most of the time it's for both. That's the "WTFness", but what about the "in Wonderland" part? Well that's easy, my favorite book when I was younger -and is still in my top 10- was Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. After reading it I was always in Wonderland, I could find ways to find it in my everyday; rabbit runs across the lawn, it's late for a very important date, hear someone yelling, shout "OFF WITH THEIR HEAD!", wear a hat, I'm the Mad Hatter! I think you get the gist of my thinking right? Well, to make the "in Wonderland" even more unique to me, my nickname is Hatter, and that also explains my answer at the beginning. Why is my nickname Hatter you ask? Well that's bringing the "WTFness" back too, I have ADHD, and until recently it was undiagnosed, so it was unexplained why I would get so hyper that I could literally bounce off the wall, then the ceiling, then run up a tree, fall, run, sit for two minutes and go play Jedi vs. Sith with my older brother and still have energy to burn. This tends to lead to me rambling nonsensically a lot of the time, fair warning for those of you who read my blog.

So what about the rest? What makes me the person I am? What the heck is the person I am? To even begin to try to explain it would take so much time that this post would take more than a day to write and probably a good chunk of a day to read. Besides, if I told you everything right away what would bring you back to read more? So let me try to narrow it down for you and I guarantee that I will explain them more in later posts. Now where to start? I suppose we could start at my little obsessions. Wolves, horses, Native American culture, ancient Egypt and Egyptology, mythology of any culture, the supernatural, art, philosophy, anime/manga, role playing online, movies, music, and wouldn't you know it, tea. Mmmm tea... *drools*

Did I mention my girlfriend? Yeah, she's definitely a part of what makes me me. Not only is she the greatest person to ever come into my life but she's what helps me stay together when I feel like I'm falling apart, she makes my days better, she makes me better, and I firmly believe I would be so much more lost in life now if I didn't have her.

My Princess <3

I'm not above cheesy gushing and all that jazz, but I'll wait to dedicate an entire, and more than likely more, post to it. Oh yeah, I'm that head over heels in love, still, after a whole year.

One more thing that I think is important to know about me is that I am a nerdy geek, or what I like to call a neek. Feel free to use the term to describe yourself or others, it's a great term for all and wont hog it to myself like I do with tea. Things that make me a neek are as follows: Sci-fi nut, this includes Star Trek (original, Next Generation, Voyager, and the movies), Star Wars, Stargate: SG-1 and Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica (you will notice a lot of "frak/frakking" in my posts as I will try to keep them at least PG-13), EUReKA, Warehouse 13, Firefly/Serenity *all of the Whedonverse* (probably use "gorram/gorramit" a lot too), Sanctuary... Have I exhausted the entire Syfy channel line up yet? Fantasy such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Arthur/Merlin, and the like also play a part. Comic books, cartoons, graphic novels (give me my superheros [Batman, Spiderman, X-men, Watchmen, Avengers, Justice League, Teen Titans, etc.] and I am a happy), manga, anime, all make me neeky too.

Bored yet? I hope not, I swear I'm an interesting person, or at least that's what everyone keeps telling me. Well if you're not bored and are interested in more from the mad mind of Hatter, stick around, and if your interest is even the slightest bit peeked, stick around. Please? Maybe? I'll give you a cookie. You want the cookie. *Jedi hand move*
